Nova Scotia is home to some of the most beautiful wedding venues in Canada. From coastal properties along the South Shore to vineyard settings in the Annapolis Valley, couples have incredible options when choosing where to celebrate their wedding day.
After photographing more than 100 weddings across the province, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many venues firsthand. Some offer breathtaking ocean views, others are surrounded by vineyards or rolling farmland, but the very best venues share something in common — they create an unforgettable experience not only for the couple, but for every guest attending.
These are five of the best luxury wedding venues in Nova Scotia that consistently stand out for their setting, guest experience, and overall atmosphere.
Why These Venues Stand Out
When couples begin searching for the perfect wedding venue in Nova Scotia, they’re often looking for more than just a beautiful backdrop. The venues that truly elevate the experience are the ones that allow the entire day to unfold naturally — where getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, and the reception can all happen seamlessly within one location.
Many of the venues on this list also offer on-site accommodations, breathtaking scenery, and thoughtful design that allows couples and guests to fully relax and enjoy the celebration.
From a photography perspective, these venues also offer something incredibly important: beautiful natural light and landscapes that make documenting the day effortless and timeless.
1. Bull Point Estate, Luxury Wedding Venue in Port Mouton, Nova Scotia
Bull Point Estate offers one of the most dramatic coastal settings for a wedding in Nova Scotia.
Located along the South Shore, the property features sweeping ocean views, elegant architecture, and beautifully maintained grounds that create an atmosphere of understated luxury.
The private estate setting allows couples to host a wedding that feels intimate while still accommodating larger celebrations. The landscape itself provides incredible opportunities for portraits overlooking the water, especially during sunset.
For couples dreaming of a coastal wedding with a refined atmosphere, Bull Point Estate is truly one of the most remarkable venues in Nova Scotia.

2. Farm at South Cove, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Located just outside Mahone Bay along Nova Scotia’s South Shore, Farm at South Cove has quickly become one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the province.
One of the reasons couples love this venue is how thoughtfully the entire property is designed for weddings. Getting ready spaces, ceremony locations overlooking the water, portrait areas throughout the property, and the reception space are all located within steps of each other. This creates an incredibly relaxed flow for the entire day.
The property itself offers stunning coastal views, lush greenery, and beautiful natural light throughout the day. Guests can stay on site, which turns the wedding celebration into more of a weekend experience rather than a single-day event.
Having photographed many weddings here over the years, it’s a venue that continues to stand out for both its beauty and the seamless experience it creates for couples.

4. Oceanstone Resort, Luxury Wedding Venue Near Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia
Oceanstone Resort is one of the most quintessential oceanfront wedding venues in Nova Scotia.
Located just minutes from Peggy’s Cove, the property offers incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean along with lush gardens and coastal landscapes that make the entire setting feel like a seaside retreat.
One of the biggest advantages of Oceanstone is how easily the entire wedding day can take place in one location. Couples can get ready on site, host their ceremony overlooking the ocean, and celebrate their reception all within steps of each other.
For portraits, many couples also choose to take advantage of the venue’s proximity to Peggy’s Cove, just five minutes down the road, where the iconic lighthouse and rugged coastline create unforgettable images.

5. Lightfoot & Wolfville, Wolfville, Nova Scotia
Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery is one of the most iconic wedding venues in the Annapolis Valley. Surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, the property offers sweeping views that feel completely unique within Nova Scotia.
The winery itself features stunning architecture with warm wood interiors and large windows that allow natural light to pour into the reception space.
One of the things that makes Lightfoot & Wolfville so special is how beautifully the venue changes throughout the seasons. Spring weddings feel fresh and airy, summer evenings glow over the vineyards, and fall weddings in the Annapolis Valley bring incredible colour across the surrounding landscape.
Having photographed many weddings here over the years, it remains one of my favourite vineyard venues in Nova Scotia.
