I recently had the pleasure of capturing an engagement session in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and it was truly a joy to work with this lovely couple.
First Location: King’s College, Halifax
We started our session at King’s College, where the stunning stone architecture and arched windows provided a perfect backdrop for their photos. The blooming magnolia tree added a touch of natural beauty to the scene!
As we wandered around the college grounds, we chatted, laughed and got to know each other better, which helped create a relaxed and authentic atmosphere for the photos. This connection is so important when it comes to capturing genuine emotions and creating memorable images.
In a few short months, E+B will be tying the knot at the picturesque Lightfoot & Wolfville. This stunning location provides a perfect setting for a romantic and elegant wedding, and I can’t wait to capture their special day here!
Second Location: Lord Nelson Hotel, Halifax
Next, we made our way to the Lord Nelson Hotel, where the couple enjoyed an espresso martini at The Arms before we snapped some fun and playful photos in the hotel’s elevator and hallways. The unique and cozy atmosphere of the hotel added a different dimension to their photos, showcasing their fun and adventurous sides.
Overall, the engagement session felt more like capturing a really fun date night and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. I love storytelling through my photography, and I believe that outfit styling and coordination with the location are key elements in creating a cohesive and visually pleasing story. The clients really executed on this assignment flawlessly!
