Picture this: a stunning stone and timber chateau nestled on the Aspotogan Peninsula, overlooking the vast, blue ocean. This is Harbour Mist, the perfect setting for Sophie and Mark’s intimate elopement. As a Halifax wedding photographer, it was a dream come true to capture their special day in such a picturesque location.
The Space : French Inspired Chateau
Arriving at Harbour Mist felt like stepping into a dream. Every detail of this property was thoughtfully and beautifully crafted. The timber beams and elegant wooden spiral staircase added a sense of grandeur and luxury to the space. Together, we squealed over every inch of this place—it was truly mesmerizing.
The French-inspired landscaping at Harbour Mist provided a romantic backdrop for the couple’s vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The love and emotion in the air were palpable, making it easy to capture those raw, authentic moments that make a wedding day truly special.
The Location : The Picturesque Aspotogen Peninsula
Nestled on 192 feet of private oceanfront, this French-inspired property offered us the perfect blend of serenity and beauty. We enjoyed the curious gaze of seals, watched a breathtaking sunset over the harbour and danced in the apple orchard after dark. To say the Aspotogen Peninsula is absolutely stunning would be an understatement.
The Food : Chef Duguay
And let’s not forget about the food. Anemone Dining’s Chef Dany Duguay outdid herself with a mouthwatering meal that had everyone’s taste buds dancing. From the first bite to the last, every dish was a culinary masterpiece that left us in awe.
The Experience : Through My Lens
As a wedding photographer, there is noting more rewarding than being able to document such a beautiful love story in a breathtaking location like Harbour Mist. The Nova Scotia wedding venue provided the perfect backdrop for Sophie and Mark’s special day, and I feel privileged to have been able to capture every moment. The entire day was nothing short of spectacular. None of us wanted it to end. What a beautiful experience it was.
